Join the Friends of the Madera County Library in our annual celebration of books and art!
The Heart of California Book Faire features 40+ authors and illustrators selling and signing books—from children’s books to romance to science fiction, and everything in between. With programs including readings and Q&A panels, attendees can learn more about local authors and perhaps learn how to become an author, too.

All attendees will receive a free ticket to one of the prize drawings that will be held throughout the event. And if you pre-register through Eventbrite, you'll receive an additional chance to win!

Below is a map showing the venue location. Parking is available in a large lot behind the church.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS (click here to view)
If arriving from the north on I-99: Take the Fourth Street (Exit 154) offramp. At stop sign, turn left toward Fourth Street (you’ll be on N. I Street). At the traffic light, turn right onto Fourth Street, then at the next light, turn right again onto Sunset Avenue. The Madera United Methodist Church will be about a 1/4 mile up the street on your left.
If arriving from the south on I-99: Take the Fourth Street (Exit 154) offramp and at the light, turn left onto Fourth Street. Proceed one block to the next light and turn right on Sunset Avenue. The Madera United Methodist Church will be about a 1/4 mile up the street on your left.
If arriving from Eastern Madera County on Hwy 145: Proceed through town – Hwy 145 becomes Yosemite Ave. At Gateway Drive (next street after E Street), turn right, then turn left at the next light onto Fourth Street. One block after you cross over the 1-99 freeway, turn right at the light onto Sunset Avenue. The Madera United Methodist Church will be about a 1/4 mile up the street on your left.
